What Happens

You will speak with a trained worker. They’ll talk with you about the situation, answer your questions, and give you information or advice. If needed, they’ll connect you with a service that can help. In some cases, if a child is considered at risk, they may refer the matter to Child Safety Services for assessment.

The goal: It focuses on earlier intervention to identify what the child and family need and help them access support. The idea is to help families before problems become more serious.

Who runs it: Department for Education, Children and Young People with non-government partners Baptcare and Mission Australia.
