What they offer: The service has both lawyers and social support workers who work together as a team. They’re based at the court locations around Tasmania.

Legal help: The FASS duty lawyers can assist with drafting court documents, gathering evidence about family violence, and accompanying people to court for urgent matters or hearings involving family violence allegations.

Social support: Social support workers help with initial assessments, safety planning, counselling, court support, and connecting people with other services they might need.

Who runs it: Tasmania Legal Aid provides the legal component, while Relationships Australia Tasmania delivers the social support side
